Ambrose Healthcare has been named New Drug Development Treatment Specialists of the Year 2026 – UK in the Global Health & Pharma: Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals Awards 2026.
The award recognises Ambrose Healthcare’s innovative approach to developing new treatments for rare diseases and the expertise and commitment of its experienced pharmaceutical team.
Approximately 400 million people worldwide are affected by a rare disease, yet only around 5% of known rare diseases currently have an approved treatment. Ambrose Healthcare is working to help change this by identifying and developing drug candidates that have existing human safety and efficacy data and the potential to address rare diseases for which no approved therapy is currently available.
Alongside its drug development programmes, Ambrose is developing solutions designed to support the earlier identification and diagnosis of people living with rare diseases. Together, these capabilities underpin the company’s integrated approach to identification, diagnosis and treatment.

Winners are selected through a merit-based research and evaluation process considering factors including innovation, impact, business performance and contribution to patient outcomes.
